Street Fighting 101 Self Defense Fitness
Tapout Fitness is a 24 hour fitness center, but we are also a martial arts/boxing training facility, and as such we can teach you how to defend yourself. Come to the Street Fighting 101 Self Defense class and learn how to handle any situation!
HOW OFTEN DOES TAPOUT FITNESS WOODSTOCK DO THE SELF DEFENSE CLASS?
We typically have it on the schedule 1 time per week for 1 hour per class. Please see the class calendar for specific details on scheduling.
WHAT DO I NEED FOR STREET FIGHTING 101?
WILL I GET AN ACTUAL WORKOUT IN THIS CLASS OR JUST LEARN SELF DEFENSE TACTICS?
You will definitely get a workout. That being said, this class is designed to technique driven, so you will spend more time listening to instruction and attempting to master proper form vs doing an intense cardio or muscle toning workout.
IS THERE ANY CONTACT IN THIS CLASS?
Yes, there is light contact in this class.
IS THIS A STRIKING CLASS OR IS IT A TAKEDOWN AND GRAPPLING CLASS?
All of the above. Street Fighting 101 will utilize kicks, punches, elbows, knees, head-butts, and other tactics that may not be allowed in a boxing/kickboxing or MMA match. Remember, this is about self-defense instruction, so the only rule is protect yourself.
